Mexican Cartel Operations in North Africa

The presence of Mexican drug cartels in Africa often goes unreported but their impact is growing quickly. The cartels have identified potential in the African markets and its use as a hub. They use Africa as a means for trafficking drugs, weapons, and humans around the world.

Europe has seen a rise in the quantity of drugs coming from Africa. Many of these drugs travel through the Bissau Corridor or Morocco. The rise in human trafficking is also important as cartels enslave thousands to support their labour demands.
