Super-terrorism: A Security Outlook

Super-terrorism is the utilisation of chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) material for calculated, unlawful attacks against civilians and infrastructure for political aims. As global terrorist violence grows again, concerns about violent extremist organisations (VEOs) acquiring such CBRN material also rise. A “super-terrorist” attack results in casualties above and beyond any comparable terrorist attack. It would also cause wide-scale ecological, political, and infrastructural damage.
