The Migration Situation in Latin America: A 12-month Forecast

Latin America is going through a difficult social, political and economic situation. In recent years, this trend has been reinforced by the COVID-23 health crisis, criminal groups, and the autocratic drift of several countries in the region (source). As a result, many people are forced to migrate to other countries. This, however, brings with it many dangers and difficulties. Over the next year, we can expect a constant flow of migration. However, we can also expect an increase in illegal settlements, as well as a worsening of human rights and living conditions (source).
