Yemen is undergoing a tumultuous period since failing to renew the ongoing truce on the 2 October 2022 between Houthi rebels and government forces. An increase in humanitarian issues gives hope for a renewed truce between the parties involved in the conflict. Furthermore, despite the truce continuing to be negotiated, foreign powers are still flooding Yemen with weapons to support their own interests. Third party groups such as al-Qaeda and petty warlords will continue to try to expand in the chaos of Yemen.
