Potential grey zone warfare in the Canadian Arctic will very likely center around key logistics infrastructure like highways and deep water ports. With a resurgent Russia and China seeking to expand their power projection into the Arctic Circle, Canada also aims to keep up with its Arctic neighbors. As climate change accelerates the melting of the polar ice caps, some Arctic Circle nation-states are also eyeing potential new trade routes to bypass traditional choke points like the Suez Canal.
