Espionage in Switzerland: A Forecast of Foreign Agents in Europe

Switzerland is a major center of espionage activity from Russia and China. The presence of international organizations like the UN, World Health Organization, and the Red Cross make it a particularly valuable country for intelligence activity. Russia and China have used Switzerland to advance their own interests and have exploited Switzerland’s neutrality to do so. Swiss Intelligence has even assessed the threat of foreign intelligence to be high. Global espionage in Switzerland presents security complications for Europe and NATO as China and Russia spread their influence.
